The Friday post of glee is where you get to tell us about your climbing-related happiness this week.
It can be a new achievement or adventure, or just that you climbed and had fun; it can be that your favourite climbing wall is expanding or that you bought new rock shoes or that you found a cool ice-climbing vid on YouTube. No glee is too small -- or too big. Members are encouraged to cheer each other on and share the squee.
N.B. Please feel free to post your glee on any day of the week; the Friday glee is just to get the ball rolling.
To enhance this week's glee: an ascent of Left Wall on Dinas Cromlech in the Llanberis Pass in 1964, back when nuts were still re-purposed machine nuts on string

Date: 2014-06-27 11:13 am (UTC)There's a bunch of new top rope routes in my gym, and I'm trying out all the 5.7-5.9s. 5.10s are beyond me, but I think that Lior will soon be doing 5.10s. She's pretty amazing.

Date: 2014-06-28 03:03 pm (UTC)It'd be a bit like saying, in a US context, "I went to Yosemite for the first time".
And I was there doing a five-day trad course (finally made it on one!).
Whence much glee. *g*
