The Friday post of glee is where you get to tell us about your climbing-related happiness this week.
It can be a new achievement or adventure, or just that you climbed and had fun; it can be that your favourite climbing wall is expanding or that you bought new rock shoes or that you found a cool ice-climbing vid on YouTube. No glee is too small -- or too big. Members are encouraged to cheer each other on and share the squee.
N.B. Please feel free to post your glee on any day of the week; the Friday glee is just to get the ball rolling.
To enhance this week's glee: Steve Mac and Niall Grimes go trad climbing in the Llanberis Pass and discuss what this weird thing that is British trad is all about.

Date: 2019-08-02 10:51 am (UTC)The bad news is that I can tell that I'm losing strength in the right hand to a much larger degree. Boo-hiss. It totally sucks.
However, I still had fun. The young woman I climbed with has only climbed once before, and it was months ago (with me and another woman), so I reviewed all the commands with her, showed her how to be sure her harness, belay device, and climbing knot and carabiner were all good to go.
She's really strong and had a blast doing it, and wants to go again. So I will definitely be doing more climbing, just not completing very many routes. (grin)
