It can be a new achievement or adventure, or just that you climbed and had fun; it can be that your favourite climbing wall is expanding or that you bought new rock shoes or that you found a cool ice-climbing vid on YouTube. No glee is too small -- or too big. Members are encouraged to cheer each other on and share the squee.

To enhance this week's glee: in honour of Free Solo's Oscar nomination for Best Documentary, here's the mini-doc that the co-directors made for the New York Times about the ethical and logistical challenges of making the film.

Date: 2019-01-26 10:44 am (UTC)Obviously I have seen Free Solo as per other discussions :) and I have been encouraging OTHER people to see Free Solo too. Might see if d is up for watching Dawn Wall tonight now that they too have seen Free Solo (and v much enjoyed it).

and I have been encouraging OTHER people to see Free Solo too.
It's definitely something which can be enjoyed and appreciated by non-climbers too.
Might see if d is up for watching Dawn Wall tonight now that they too have seen Free Solo (and v much enjoyed it).
