The Friday post of glee is where you get to tell us about your climbing-related happiness this week.

It can be a new achievement or adventure, or just that you climbed and had fun; it can be that your favourite climbing wall is expanding or that you bought new rock shoes or that you found a cool ice-climbing vid on YouTube. No glee is too small -- or too big. Members are encouraged to cheer each other on and share the squee.

N.B. Please feel free to post your glee on any day of the week; the Friday glee is just to get the ball rolling.

To enhance this week's glee: Nalle Hukkataival makes the world's hardest boulder problem look like a path

My partner has tendonitis! WOE! So there was no climbing for me last weekend. But it was okay, I ended up being really busy both days, so I don't know how I would have gotten things done if she had been free to climb.

Because you know climbing would have come first. (grin)

Hopefully this weekend.

It is. My first year of climbing I battled it continuously in my left elbow. Fortunately since then, I've not had any major problems. I'm grateful.

I like that they had some of him failing it before showing him crushing the problem :-)

I agree. Sometimes you see these great climbers and they make it look SO easy. I just keep whapping myself upside the head and reminding me that *I* not that strong nor have that much technique. (grin)

Went toproping again with my new partner. The guy - a real skinny dude due to some food allergies - is a beast on the wall. It was only his third time but he climbed almost as many routes as I (I did 15) and he's already tackling 6ers.

It would be so great to have a regular toprope partner again!

That's great. A good partner is hard to find!

Indeed. It doesn't help that indoor climbing isn't the cheapest sport around. And if you want to go outdoor buildering here you have to be creative and a bit adventurous (and not care about people staring).

I have never tried buildering. And at my age, I have this feeling someone would show up to check and see if I was sane. (grin)

But it's so much fun though! That reminds me, I have some photos of a really nice wall I buildered on last year... I should crosspost them here when I got the time.
