The Friday post of glee is where you get to tell us about your climbing-related happiness this week.
It can be a new achievement or adventure, or just that you climbed and had fun; it can be that your favourite climbing wall is expanding or that you bought new rock shoes or that you found a cool ice-climbing vid on YouTube. No glee is too small -- or too big. Members are encouraged to cheer each other on and share the squee.
N.B. Please feel free to post your glee on any day of the week; the Friday glee is just to get the ball rolling.
To enhance this week's glee: British Para Climbing Champion and total badass Fran Brown.
In her spare time, she's an aerialist, and was one of the flying performers in the Paralympics opening ceremony on Wednesday.

Date: 2012-08-31 12:20 pm (UTC)My climbing glee has been limited. My partner had a horrible work week, so she couldn't climb. It's possible I may climb this morning, but.... yeah, we'll see.

Date: 2012-08-31 01:02 pm (UTC)I just came back from buildering. I might have to revise my plans to traverse the entire structure in one go this summer... it's really long! It didn't look so long but the meters add up. Today I did it in five pitches (fell off twice and took three breaks). So I'm aiming to do it in less than that, for now. Great fun.

Actually, traversing along buildings seems to have been key in the early training of a number of legendary climbers, including Jerry Moffatt and Johnny Dawes.

That one's not so hard on the fingers for a change. They barely use their hands at all, it's all balancing.
