Friday glee is not making a splash

The Friday post of glee is where you get to tell us about your climbing-related happiness this week.

It can be a new achievement or adventure, or just that you climbed and had fun; it can be that your favourite climbing wall is expanding or that you bought new rock shoes or that you found a cool ice-climbing vid on YouTube. No glee is too small -- or too big. Members are encouraged to cheer each other on and share the squee.

N.B. Please feel free to post your glee on any day of the week; the Friday glee is just to get the ball rolling.

To enhance this week's glee: since it's too hot here, have some deep-water soloing.

After months of not climbing because I moved to a new area, I finally contacted a local climbing organization about participating in one of their events this weekend. Haven't heard back yet, but initiating contact with strangers is a big step for me, so win!

Last week I didn't climb because I went to Chicago to a Stargate convention! (grin) Had a blast with three good friends.

But this week, it's been back to climbing, and my sore hips can attest to it!

I recently had a few awesome climbing dreams. :) I mean, really... the stuff I could do in my dream, it felt incredible. Almost like flying!

I went buildering yesterday and climbed some more on my favorite spot... found a great route past the most difficult part. I'm almost ready to try the entire route in one go.
