The Friday post of glee is where you get to tell us about your climbing-related happiness this week.
It can be a new achievement or adventure, or just that you climbed and had fun; it can be that your favourite climbing wall is expanding or that you bought new rock shoes or that you found a cool ice-climbing vid on YouTube. No glee is too small -- or too big. Members are encouraged to cheer each other on and share the squee.
N.B. Please feel free to post your glee on any day of the week; the Friday glee is just to get the ball rolling.
To enhance this week's glee: Charlie Woodburn on the first ascent of Something's Burning (E9 7a) at Pembroke last month. Wobbly cam, but keep watching for what happens at 5:24.

Date: 2012-08-10 05:01 pm (UTC)As I may have mentioned, a guy at my climbing wall has been seen doing pull-ups on the Beastmaker with his baby snoozing in the carrier on his chest, but not a one-armer -- yet ...

Date: 2012-08-10 12:52 pm (UTC)But my dog got very sick during the night, and I got no sleep. The next day we were at the vet spending large amounts of money to get her seen to, and she's eating again and doing fine.
I couldn't climb on Thursday because I was having a tooth pulled. More large amounts of money spent. ARGH.
But this morning I'm supposed to climb very, very easy with a friend. So...life is starting to look up again - literally. (grin)
