The Friday post of glee is where you get to tell us about your climbing-related happiness this week.

It can be a new achievement or adventure, or just that you climbed and had fun; it can be that your favourite climbing wall is expanding or that you bought new rock shoes or that you found a cool ice-climbing vid on YouTube. No glee is too small -- or too big. Members are encouraged to cheer each other on and share the squee.

N.B. Please feel free to post your glee on any day of the week; the Friday glee is just to get the ball rolling.

To enhance this week's glee: Dave MacLeod sends his new problem on the Skeleton Boulder, Natural Method, 8B(+?) (link goes to the video on his blog, where he discusses the climb and recovering from severe elbow problems).

Leader falls always look incredibly scary to me. Glad you got yours out of the way!

Huh. Well, maybe if I'd bouldered more. I didn't mind falling when I was bouldering, and I don't fear it when I'm roped. But I also never climbed very high when I was bouldering. My highest fall was only about 6 feet up. Not high at all. Though I did land flat on my back. (grin)
