The Friday post of glee is where you get to tell us about your climbing-related happiness this week.
It can be a new achievement or adventure, or just that you climbed and had fun; it can be that your favourite climbing wall is expanding or that you bought new rock shoes or that you found a cool ice-climbing vid on YouTube. No glee is too small -- or too big. Members are encouraged to cheer each other on and share the squee.
N.B. Please feel free to post your glee on any day of the week; the Friday glee is just to get the ball rolling.

Date: 2012-04-20 12:36 pm (UTC)But Monday I was back and climbing! Then again on Wednesday!
However, my climbing partner called me yesterday to say she'd cut off the tip of her thumb in a "farming machine" accident! OH NO! (She lives on a farm outside of town and has many, many animals.)
So she's had surgery and is now in a sling, so it's going to limit our climbing for a while!

Date: 2012-04-20 01:09 pm (UTC)Is this the same climbing partner who accidentally stabbed herself in the hand a while back, or am I confused?

Date: 2012-04-20 06:57 pm (UTC)(Have I mentioned that I saw one of the more hardcore climbers at the Arch doing pull-ups on the fingerboard with his baby snoozing in the baby carrier on his chest?)

Date: 2012-04-21 12:00 pm (UTC)(There was an article I read somewhere about someone who does top-roped outdoor climbing with her baby on her back, but that wouldn't really work with bouldering, sadly, given how often I land on my back.)
Other source of yay: the Biscuit Factory is *fabulous*. So much space!
