Friday glee is out on the limestone

The Friday post of glee is where you get to tell us about your climbing-related happiness this week.

It can be a new achievement or adventure, or just that you climbed and had fun; it can be that your favourite climbing wall is expanding or that you bought new rock shoes or that you found a cool ice-climbing vid on YouTube. No glee is too small -- or too big. Members are encouraged to cheer each other on and share the squee.

Damn, but she makes it look easy!

My partner and I climbed Wednesday and will probably climb again this evening. We're both trying to conquer a new 5.10 route that we're convinced we should be able to do. In fact, WOULD be able to do it one hold just had a little bit more of a lip on it. (grin)

I sent one of my projects (a little medium-grade traverse on the feature wall that everyone else ignores and that's been making me very happy).

And after three years of bouldering, I finally learned how to tie into a harness with a rethreaded figure-of-eight and how to belay.

Oh, top roping is SO much fun. And you can take your bouldering technique, and adapt it. Boulderers are always such strong climbers. I don't boulder worth a damn. I wish I had that strength.
