I made it to the gym TWICE this week! And slowly but surely, I'm seeing progress as I'm able to climb a bit more frequently. Wednesday I spent some time with this gorgeous, traversing, slightly overhanging 5.11b that I am now determined to get strong enough to send because it's a wonderfully set route. I did the first 2/3 or so clean, then ran into the giant orange sloper of doom and got stuck, but I will make that sloper my bitch sooner or later. First time a 5.11 has felt doable since about November. Woot!
Today was lots of laps for endurance, so I didn't get back on the 5.11b. But I climbed lots of 5.8s and 5.9s up and down and up and down again and again, and now my arms feel like they might fall off, which is a most excellent feeling after a good day of climbing, as far as I'm concerned!
Woo-hoo! Good route setting is awesome. I love that feeling of falling in love with a problem and being determined to beat it because it's too pretty not to.

Really well-set problems are such great motivators.
