I was asked by a woman I know to go climbing with her on Tuesday. I went, and then it turned out she was doing "laps" on the climbs, so I had to belay her 3 times on each route, and she did four routes. I got to climb once each route.

Needless to say, this will be the last time climbing with her. If she'd told me when she asked me she was going to do that, I would have declined because of the arthritis in my hands. But she announced it after she'd climbed the first route the first time. "Oh, don't untie! I'm going to do it two more times!"

(growl, grumble, grumble)

Wow, that's remarkably shitty of her.

And it'd be one thing if she'd said in advance what she wanted to do, and offered to belay you an equivalent amount on the routes you wanted to do in return (so you got to climb 12 routes of your choice too). But she just used you as a convenient belayer without offering anything in return.

Yep. It was the only climb I've ever had where I got no zen from it. I also climbed poorly, I think because I could not consistently climb.
