I got to climb last weekend! Outdoors at a local area. I had hoped my finger issues were gone forever, but it looks like putting load on them still causes pain, sadly.

I went to an "open house" at the new gym in West Oakland, and it's crazy huge. Gonna be so fun when it's fully open. My elbows ache but at least I'm climbing again...

Do you have bouldering pads? Dave is living in Granite Bay and we did some hiking and I feel like there are a lot of little climbable things over there.

I climbed up and down a nasty muddy gully yesterday, which while not rock was damn near vertical and about as much as I'll do without a rope.

I declined the opportunity to climb a similarly hinky grade covered in a rotting century-old trestle, on the grounds that was too stupid even for me.
