This week, I got myself down to the bouldering gym twice, which is awesome all by itself. (I go before work; by the time I've showered breakfasted walked-the-dog, fitting in a trip to the Arch is *hard* & only achievable by staying really focussed so I get the obligatory stuff done asap & have enough time.)
Even more exciting, whilst I was there, I on-sighted 2 V2 problems! I have never climbed anything V2 before, as far as I can remember. They were, admittedly, both on the slab, and I get on better with that than with flat walls (& certainly than with overhangs). BUT STILL. Then I climbed a V1 on there hands-free, & then worked out a slightly twisty V1 on another (flat) wall.
I'm sure that next session won't be as awesome, but for now, I am immoderately pleased with myself :)
Any other tales of joy from this week?

Yay glee!
Date: 2010-09-25 08:40 pm (UTC)I'm always best on the slab, too. But if it happens on the slab, it'll follow on the other walls in time ...
Btw, have you heard about the Arch expansion plans? Or indeed, peeked through the doorway just before the ramp, the one that has the drilling noises and clouds of dust coming out of it? *g*
They're taking over the railway arch next door! Doubling the space! I've heard some of the design plans, and it sounds like they're going to be really wacky and inventive with the space. I have great joy about this. Especially because the Arch staff are a nice bunch of people and they deserve to do well.

I have indeed heard a little about the plans! Nothing specific, just that it's happening and I think hoping to be up & going by the end of the year? I'm really excited as well -- twice as much space! I shall have a shufty through the door tomorrow morning when I visit, and see what it's looking like.
