I climbed Mount Katahdin and successfully traversed Knife Edge for the first time last weekend. As Percival Baxter put it, “I wouldn’t do it again for a million; I wouldn’t have missed it for a million.”

Wow, that looks spectacular. And a VERY big day out. Do you do a lot of mountain stuff?

I don't have a hillwalking background and find that kind of unroped but extremely serious scrambling more terrifying than almost anything else, so I'm super-impressed.

Awesome! In retrospect, if I had been a climber when I went to Australia there must have been some amazing rock there.

I have all the glee in the world because I am finally, FINALLY back in the Peak District and climbing outdoors!

Also I have grit-rash and midge bites but that's just part of the experience.
