The Friday post of glee is where you get to tell us about your climbing-related happiness this week.
It can be a new achievement or adventure, or just that you climbed and had fun; it can be that your favourite climbing wall is expanding or that you bought new rock shoes or that you found a cool ice-climbing vid on YouTube. No glee is too small -- or too big. Members are encouraged to cheer each other on and share the squee.
N.B. Please feel free to post your glee on any day of the week; the Friday glee is just to get the ball rolling.
To enhance this week's glee: Mina Leslie-Wujastyk in Waterfall Boven.

Date: 2019-09-06 10:37 am (UTC)She was trying out bouldering problems. I'm not supposed to boulder because I don't bounce well and my right hand isn't as strong as it was. But she was struggling with a modified sit start (the legs were straight out to the side on holds rather than crunched up). I got on it and did it to show her what the move was, and for the first time in my life successfully did a sit start. I was SO psyched. I'm SO much stronger now than I was when I first started climbing.

Date: 2019-09-06 04:40 pm (UTC)(Only beware of the salmon-and-blue with the big horizontal tufas, because it's not even vaguely a V2 by Arch standards, and has been shutting down so many people who'd normally expect to warm up on V2s and are having to siege this. Good problem! Not a V2! Very dispiriting if you expect it to be one!)
