The Friday post of glee is where you get to tell us about your climbing-related happiness this week.

It can be a new achievement or adventure, or just that you climbed and had fun; it can be that your favourite climbing wall is expanding or that you bought new rock shoes or that you found a cool ice-climbing vid on YouTube. No glee is too small -- or too big. Members are encouraged to cheer each other on and share the squee.

N.B. Please feel free to post your glee on any day of the week; the Friday glee is just to get the ball rolling.

I climbed a tall 5.10B with only one cheat move.

Finally figured out the source of the hip pain I've had this year - too tight hip rotator muscles. Perfectly explainable on someone who is either sitting down all the time or hiking 20km, really. Tried a pigeon pose today, and I'm far worse at it on the bad hip, but it's also dropped my pain levels from 2-3 to maybe 0.25 in one attempt. I'm going to be far less worried about future treks now, and might actually get back on the wall if work stops being so crazy...

Also, I hiked a bit last weekend - very mild and friendly mountains, but we got some pretty cool weather - blizzard, a bit of frozen rain, the occasional sudden sunniness. Posted a couple of pictures on my journal https://seasonoftowers.dreamwidth.org/18247.html
