Friday glee has a day out

The Friday post of glee is where you get to tell us about your climbing-related happiness this week.

It can be a new achievement or adventure, or just that you climbed and had fun; it can be that your favourite climbing wall is expanding or that you bought new rock shoes or that you found a cool ice-climbing vid on YouTube. No glee is too small -- or too big. Members are encouraged to cheer each other on and share the squee.

Well, after smashing the little finger on my left hand, I'm definitely postponing climbing for a bit. I have no grip with it at all. I can now type and it only hurts a little, but climbing is a big nope.

Oh no! What happened to it?

Was troubleshooting on someone else's computer at work, moved the chair up to the desk (hands on the arms of the chair), and the chair suddenly raised and smashed into the underside of the desk, catching the little finger.

Blood and swearing ensued. The nail has a huge hematoma under it and the finger is really swollen. (sigh)

Owww. I know from a friend who's a physiotherapist that the little finger is actually the worst to lose (or have temporarily out of action), in terms of grip strength.
