The Friday post of glee is where you get to tell us about your climbing-related happiness this week.
It can be a new achievement or adventure, or just that you climbed and had fun; it can be that your favourite climbing wall is expanding or that you bought new rock shoes or that you found a cool ice-climbing vid on YouTube. No glee is too small -- or too big. Members are encouraged to cheer each other on and share the squee.
N.B. Please feel free to post your glee on any day of the week; the Friday glee is just to get the ball rolling.
To enhance this week's glee: Nalle Hukkataival on the truly spectacular The Finnish Line (V16) in Rocklands.

Date: 2017-09-15 05:44 pm (UTC)I had another stab at the corner climb with the hand/foot matching that had defeated me the previous week, and this time I made it happen. Entertainingly, about halfway up, I could not for the life of me see what was supposed to happen next. The only way I could think of to do it was to effectively turn around, so that you're facing out of the corner and all the holds are behind you, rather than facing into it. It worked fine; I climbed about another third that way and then figured out how to turn back around for the finish where the corner ended and it was just a straight wall climb. My lawyer-and-climbing-partner was desperately wishing he had a video camera... I am just going to take "this is hilarious" as a compliment and move on with my life, heh.
