The Friday post of glee is where you get to tell us about your climbing-related happiness this week.
It can be a new achievement or adventure, or just that you climbed and had fun; it can be that your favourite climbing wall is expanding or that you bought new rock shoes or that you found a cool ice-climbing vid on YouTube. No glee is too small -- or too big. Members are encouraged to cheer each other on and share the squee.
N.B. Please feel free to post your glee on any day of the week; the Friday glee is just to get the ball rolling.

Here's a very epic photo of the Seamstress Slab taken by my climbing partner.

Date: 2017-05-05 11:29 am (UTC)On Monday before surgery, I met with a boxing coach. I'm going to go into training as soon as I am released from the "no exercise" portion of my recovery period.
I think the upper body and core work with boxing will also make me a stronger climber! So it's one way to enhance the climbing while it's limited for me.
Besides, you never know when you might need to throw a good solid punch at a Nazi. (grin)

ETA: forgot to say, I hope your recovery goes smoothly and you're well again soon!

Date: 2017-05-06 01:33 am (UTC)Plus I do think it will help keep my shoulders strong, which is hard to do with as little climbing as I'm doing. Plus it's great for core muscles, which also don't get much work without climbing.
Thanks for the good wishes on the recovery. So far, so good!
