Friday glee admires and fears the citizens of Stolby in Siberia

The Friday post of glee is where you get to tell us about your climbing-related happiness this week.

It can be a new achievement or adventure, or just that you climbed and had fun; it can be that your favourite climbing wall is expanding or that you bought new rock shoes or that you found a cool ice-climbing vid on YouTube. Tbilisi has a brand new climbing wall and I went today and it was lovely - small, but perfectly formed. First time I'd climbed in over a year and it was so great to be back in the saddle, even with no upper arm strength! Best of all, I dragged along three friends, all of whom had enough fun that we're making it a regular date. Yay climbing!

Yay! Had the friends climbed before, or did you get to introduce them to climbing?

Nope, not at all - we went again today and it was fantastic, they're already muttering about buying their own gear and researching places where we can try outdoors when the weather's good!
