A few buildering photos

I thought I'd link these buildering pics I posted in my journal a while back. My climbing guide lists this beautiful sandstone wall on the shore of the river Ruhr as a prime buildering spot. The stone has really nice grip and the holds are crimpy but quite versatile. The entire traverse is about 200 meters long, and rates about UIAA 7... it's pretty challenging and won't get boring quickly. I've climbed there only once so far and tackled only the first few meters of the traverse; I definitely want to go there again.

That looks wonderful. I wish I had something like that near me.

In the UK, there's one bridge which is so renowned as a training location that it made it into the "Boulder Britain" guidebook:

Both the young Johnny Dawes and the young Jerry Moffatt trained there, though they didn't meet until later in their lives.

Wow. Both the buildering and that bridge look cool. I've found myself now looking at the building I work in. It's a two story old brick building, with a balcony just off the second floor. I'm wondering if I could climb up to the balcony from the street level.
