Friday glee has neon green laces for overhangs

The Friday post of glee is where you get to tell us about your climbing-related happiness this week.

It can be a new achievement or adventure, or just that you climbed and had fun; it can be that your favourite climbing wall is expanding or that you bought new rock shoes or that you found a cool ice-climbing vid on YouTube. No glee is too small -- or too big. Members are encouraged to cheer each other on and share the squee.

Wednesday I climbed with a friend who was visiting town for a day. He lives up north in Wisconsin and has been climbing about 6 months. It was fun. He's all enthusiasm and no technique - yet - but he will try anything and he's gotten immensely stronger. It was great.

Yesterday, I went climbing for the first time in three months. We did some bouldering, not for long because our bodies weren't accustomed to it any more, but yay climbing!

I went climbing for the first time in ages yesterday! It was aces. Also L came along (it was just after opening so very empty) and had great fun zooming around on the mats and thoughtfully stroking the lowest holds. He has started pulling up on things, but I think did not recognise the holds as A Thing On Which You Can Pull Yourself Up. He was *fascinated* to watch me going up & down, though. START 'EM YOUNG.
