disobey_gravityOkay, this one's admittedly vicarious, however I am deeply entertained and figured I'd share my joy: my friend that's going to grad school in Seattle texted me today to let me know he ended up using aerial techniques whilst climbing yesterday.
Apparently, it is much easier to ascend 120 ft of rope using the climbs he learned on silks in the couple aerial classes I dragged him to than it is to brute force it with upper body strength.
Never let anyone tell you whatever cross-discipline training you do is a waste of time. You never know when you'll find some surprisingly useful thing out of it. :P
