Aeth Friday glee i Llanberis am y tro cyntaf

The Friday post of glee is where you get to tell us about your climbing-related happiness this week.

It can be a new achievement or adventure, or just that you climbed and had fun; it can be that your favourite climbing wall is expanding or that you bought new rock shoes or that you found a cool ice-climbing vid on YouTube. No glee is too small -- or too big. Members are encouraged to cheer each other on and share the squee.

N.B. Please feel free to post your glee on any day of the week; the Friday glee is just to get the ball rolling.

To enhance this week's glee: an ascent of Left Wall on Dinas Cromlech in the Llanberis Pass in 1964, back when nuts were still re-purposed machine nuts on string

I have already climbed twice this week, and tonight I climb again. My new partner, Lior, wants to climb three nights a week. Whoo-hoo! So I'm meeting her once I've walked the dog and climbing for an hour or so. We exhaust ourselves, and it's glorious.

There's a bunch of new top rope routes in my gym, and I'm trying out all the 5.7-5.9s. 5.10s are beyond me, but I think that Lior will soon be doing 5.10s. She's pretty amazing.

I *almost* got my project route clean. Maybe next time!
