Friday glee is not sure what all those ropes are doing

The Friday post of glee is where you get to tell us about your climbing-related happiness this week.

It can be a new achievement or adventure, or just that you climbed and had fun; it can be that your favourite climbing wall is expanding or that you bought new rock shoes or that you found a cool ice-climbing vid on YouTube. No glee is too small -- or too big. Members are encouraged to cheer each other on and share the squee.

N.B. Please feel free to post your glee on any day of the week; the Friday glee is just to get the ball rolling.

To enhance this week's glee: a photo of America's first climbing wall, created in the 1950s by Bonnie Prudden.

That is a very bizarre photo! And so not surprised it's American. (grin)

No climbing for me this week. I've been working like crazy, watching the hockey playoffs, and my partner is still injured.

But she's coming over tonight to have a drink and hang out, so at least we'll TALK climbing. (grin)

It looks like she'll be back climbing in two more weeks. The thumb is healing well. YAY!

Huh, I'd imagined something different.

It's funny looking isn't it?
