In which Alex Honnold frustrates CBS
I was entertaining people with these in chat, and thought I'd share the linkspam. The unique interview stylings of Alex Honnold:
In which Alex hates this part.
In which CBS would clearly prefer it if Alex would show some signs of having a nervous system while solo-ing a very long way off the ground.
In which CBS try and fail to get Alex to communicate in anything other than valleyspeak. Dostoevsky is heinous, dude.
In which Alex explains his nutritional secrets: "So I figured, why shouldn’t I just eat cookies every day?"
Also, there's some climbing.

Somebody's pointed out that free soloing is statistically safer than, say, climbing K2 (which I wouldn't do either).

That said, he seems very funny (and utterly amazing). Hopefully he will continue to be so for decades to come!

His mother worries too, but she trusts her son’s judgment. “He’s the only one who can decide to do it or not,” she says. “I would never tell him not to. It would be like telling a concert pianist, ‘You know, that’s bad for your fingers. You’ll end up with arthritis.’”
