Friday glee is still saying JOHN DUNNE

The Friday post of glee is where you get to tell us about your climbing-related happiness this week.

It can be a new achievement or adventure, or just that you climbed and had fun; it can be that your favourite climbing wall is expanding or that you bought new rock shoes or that you found a cool ice-climbing vid on YouTube. No glee is too small -- or too big. Members are encouraged to cheer each other on and share the squee.

N.B. Please feel free to post your glee on any day of the week; the Friday glee is just to get the ball rolling.

This week I have negative glee because I went to Harrisons Rocks and sprained my ankle. After only half an hour, goddamit.

I took my mini me to the climbing wall for the first time yesterday and she's a goddamn natural.

The best thing was that a lot of the holds at the wall are made by Core, and she was geeking out over the fact that their logo looks like a Green Lantern symbol.

I pushed my onsight leading grade up a notch on Saturday, to 6a. I'm starting to get some 6Bs on top-rope, too :-)

[all that said, yesterday some of the 6as kicked my arse on top-rope, so there's still room for improvement!]

Tomorrow, I'm finally going to climb on Real Rocks for the first time. I don't have a belay partner, but since I'm going with a group, presumably I can convince someone to swap off. Eeee!
