It is, it really is. One of the bouldering rooms has a chimneying section which I climbed up and wrote my name with my finger in the chalk dust at the top, because I'm 5 ;D

You're talking to someone who once seriously considered buying a little yellow plastic duck to sit in the dust on top of the wall.

(There was a particular problem where you found yourself peering over the top of the wall as you were about to make a rather fraught move round a corner. I thought Surprise Duck!!! might enhance it.).

I thought about combining geocaching with climbing, such that half-way across a dreadful roof route like, oh, Flying Buttress Direct, wedged underneath the roof would be a little geo-cache with a nut or somesuch in it...

That would kick so much ass! I've often thought of that as well, to combine the 2.
