The Friday post of glee is where you get to tell us about your climbing-related happiness this week.

It can be a new achievement or adventure, or just that you climbed and had a good time; it can be that your favourite climbing wall is expanding or that you bought new rock shoes or that you found a cool ice-climbing vid on YouTube. No glee is too small -- or too big.

Members are encouraged to cheer each other on and share the squee.

Given that the last time I was there, I was climbing 4c, and the 5a routes were just impossible, this pleased me greatly.

I love it when you get those drastic markers of progress.

I kept falling off V1s on the wave bit

I was noticing that some of the new wave stuff is a bit mean relative to the way they usually grade things (I think they go through phases).

Also: slaaaaaaaaab. I can't wait to get on some new slab problems!

I think as well I just get a bit nervous on the wave bit due to centre of gravity working differently (it is both a slab and an overhang! at the same time!). Plus I'm more nervous about falling off there.

Me too, at least on the middle section; I hate being above the bulge, just like I hate being above a volume.
