friday glee

Time to post your glee! What bit of climbing awesome did you accomplish this week? What made you proud? Happy? What was just plain cool? Post your glee and feel free to cheer other people on for their accomplishments.

My glee, let me show you it!

I DID THE V5! MY FIRST EVER V5!!!

And I am still all CAPSLOCK about it because this is a huge, huge deal for me.

(For people who don't already know this stuff about me: I've been climbing for 11 months, I'm fairly seriously dyspraxic, and I've avoided all sports with fear and loathing for over twenty years. So the fact that I've made any progress at all is a big deal for me; a V5 is monumental.)

\o/ Go you! This is so great!

As one of the people who didn't know your background - and admittedly I just had to look up dyspraxia (not because of the language) - I have to say this is even more (awe-)inspiring.

Have you celebrated appropriately?

I thought I ought to explain that I wasn't just shamelessly bragging -- well, I am shamelessly bragging, but I've literally never been good at anything physical before.

Have you celebrated appropriately?

Actually I just collapsed in a small exhausted heap *g*.
