Friday glee needs a Hazel icon

The Friday post of glee is where you get to tell us about your climbing-related happiness this week.

It can be a new achievement or adventure, or just that you climbed and had fun; it can be that your favourite climbing wall is expanding or that you bought new rock shoes or that you found a cool ice-climbing vid on YouTube. No glee is too small -- or too big. Members are encouraged to cheer each other on and share the squee.

Last Friday was my 66th birthday, and to celebrate I went to Jacksonville to climb at The Edge. Three and a half hours later and 24 routes later, I was exhausted and very happy. I climbed my first 5.9 in about two years.

It fucking rocked.

We actually were able to go climb once this week! It's a miracle! After a month of a half of illness and work commitments and theatre commitments keeping us away, we're hoping to get back on track to go twice a week or so.

This week's climbing was much better than last weeks - I got up a couple of (probably undergraded) 6Bs :)
