Friday glee has been there

The Friday post of glee is where you get to tell us about your climbing-related happiness this week.

It can be a new achievement or adventure, or just that you climbed and had fun; it can be that your favourite climbing wall is expanding or that you bought new rock shoes or that you found a cool ice-climbing vid on YouTube. No glee is too small -- or too big. Members are encouraged to cheer each other on and share the squee.

N.B. Please feel free to post your glee on any day of the week; the Friday glee is just to get the ball rolling.

To enhance this week's glee: top boulderer Louis Parkinson ... learns to trad.

OMG, such good climbing news today! 1) I had a great time climbing in Jacksonville last Sunday. I climbed every 5.8, 5.7, 5.6, and 5.5 they had on the autobelays. It was wonderful. I was climbing really well. 2) I'm going climbing this weekend at the local crappy wall with the young friend I'm teaching to climb. That will be fun. 3) Today there was an announcement that a new group has purchased the old rock gym building, is fixing it and will be opening later this fall. YES! I will be first in line to buy a membership!

YES! It's like 10 minutes from where I live. If I had to, I could walk there!

No climbing this week, because I was travelling for work, but I did get to see The Compact Muon Solenoid in person, so that was pretty cool :)
