Friday glee wants to go to this party

The Friday post of glee is where you get to tell us about your climbing-related happiness this week.

It can be a new achievement or adventure, or just that you climbed and had fun; it can be that your favourite climbing wall is expanding or that you bought new rock shoes or that you found a cool ice-climbing vid on YouTube. No glee is too small -- or too big. Members are encouraged to cheer each other on and share the squee.

I totally want to go to that party; that looks awesome!

One of my climbing buddies is back in the gym after open heart surgery. He couldn't climb for months while his sternum healed, but he just made it back, and he didn't feel any strain the day after. I am super happy for him.

Climbing last Friday was fabulous. The place was packed! (It was a school holiday.) So I couldn't work any projects on the autobelays, but I could climb routes over and over again. Three hours of climbing later I was so exhausted I couldn't keep the hold that would pull me up over the overhang on a 5.7, so I had to call it quits.

But it was a fabulous day!
