Friday glee is transcendent

The Friday post of glee is where you get to tell us about your climbing-related happiness this week.

It can be a new achievement or adventure, or just that you climbed and had fun; it can be that your favourite climbing wall is expanding or that you bought new rock shoes or that you found a cool ice-climbing vid on YouTube. No glee is too small -- or too big. Members are encouraged to cheer each other on and share the squee.

To enhance this week's glee: Transcendence. All the indoor/comp kids seem to be getting their trad on nowadays; it's the new thing. *g*

I have arranged to go climb at the local gym that has some climbing with a friend who had never climbed before. She's 30 years younger than me, and very, very excited about doing it. She's probably going to kill me, because she's really strong and athletic. I am hoping she falls in love with it. We shall see....

I got climbing this week, but what with a very food-focussed holiday last week and new longer commute, it was not my finest hour!
