Basically: Llanberis is the epicentre of climbing in North Wales, which is one of the greatest and most history-rich climbing areas of the UK.
It'd be a bit like saying, in a US context, "I went to Yosemite for the first time".
And I was there doing a five-day trad course (finally made it on one!).
Whence much glee. *g*
