Friday glee *has* found a cool ice-climbing vid

The Friday post of glee is where you get to tell us about your climbing-related happiness this week.

It can be a new achievement or adventure, or just that you climbed and had fun; it can be that your favourite climbing wall is expanding or that you bought new rock shoes or that you found a cool ice-climbing vid on YouTube. No glee is too small -- or too big. Members are encouraged to cheer each other on and share the squee.

N.B. Please feel free to post your glee on any day of the week; the Friday glee is just to get the ball rolling.

To enhance this week's glee: Klemen Premrl, Tim Emmett, Raphael Slawinski and Will Gadd climb more ridiculously hard things on the spray ice at Helmcken Falls.

I'm still walking in the warm pool twice a week and climbing once a week. It'll do for the moment, but I hope that I find a partner so I can climb more! Though I'm not sure where I'd put it in my schedule. (grin) I'm working three jobs at the moment.

Got back to climbing yesterday for the first time in about a month. They're redoing the routes again and this round has much more reasonable handholds for the V0s. (The last set of routes were not reasonable at all; I usually manage to complete four out of five of the V0 routes (there's usually one on an underhang which requires more flinging than I've been able to manage) and I think I managed one because the grips were super weird on the others. I talked to some of the other climbers and we think some of the routes were mislabeled-- there was a V1 that I had a much easier time with than any of the V0s and I usually can't get those at all.

I did have to cut things short though; I think I may have burst a tiny blood vessel at the top joint of one of my fingers because it started hurting whenever I put pressure on it and it looked like there was a tiny bit of bruising under the chalk.
