Friday glee has neon green laces for overhangs

The Friday post of glee is where you get to tell us about your climbing-related happiness this week.

It can be a new achievement or adventure, or just that you climbed and had fun; it can be that your favourite climbing wall is expanding or that you bought new rock shoes or that you found a cool ice-climbing vid on YouTube. No glee is too small -- or too big. Members are encouraged to cheer each other on and share the squee.

I went climbing for the first time in ages yesterday! It was aces. Also L came along (it was just after opening so very empty) and had great fun zooming around on the mats and thoughtfully stroking the lowest holds. He has started pulling up on things, but I think did not recognise the holds as A Thing On Which You Can Pull Yourself Up. He was *fascinated* to watch me going up & down, though. START 'EM YOUNG.

Hooray! There do seem to be a fair number of very young persons at the Arch lately; I've been suggesting to the staff that maybe they should start some sort of parent-and-child climbing sessions ...

Joe says that his youngest pupil is four-and-a-half, so there's still an age group which isn't being catered for. *g*
