Friday glee is not in Cironico, but would like to be

The Friday post of glee is where you get to tell us about your climbing-related happiness this week.

It can be a new achievement or adventure, or just that you climbed and had fun; it can be that your favourite climbing wall is expanding or that you bought new rock shoes or that you found a cool ice-climbing vid on YouTube. No glee is too small -- or too big. Members are encouraged to cheer each other on and share the squee.

N.B. Please feel free to post your glee on any day of the week; the Friday glee is just to get the ball rolling.

To enhance this week's glee: Therese Johansen bouldering in Cironico.

And in other news, Toby Benham has reportedly not only regained consciousness, he's managed to tell a nurse that he's "bored".

My glee this week was not in actual climbing, but in being part of a study on how exercise affects the brain. I was given a series of dexterity tests and hand strength tests. My right and left hands had virtually identical strength! YAY! The guy testing me was surprised when I knew that hand strength came from the forearm and not the hand. I explained that rock climbers KNEW this. (grin)

It's part of a study on (cough) older adults to find ways to help stroke victims regain use of muscles and limbs.
