In some ways, I find that one of the most satisfying things, when I don't necessarily get a problem/route in a session but I know I've worked really really hard on it and made progress.

It's not either "I can do it easily" or "I can't do it" -- I can feel that I'm putting my all into it and my effort is making a difference. If that makes sense.
