The sad thing is I still haven't made it out onto the real rock. Well, and I haven't been to my gym in over a year either. Must. Fix. Schedule. I'm determined to try the real rock while I'm still here. (and, man, there's a canyon on the edge of town that's pretty much world-famous for it's climbing. The climbers I've seen when I was there are, well, impressive)
So I'd say definitely bring your shoes (you can always go to a climbing wall, after all *g*).
I'll see how things look when February gets close. My schedule for the semester changed enough that it looks to be a shorter trip than I'd originally hoped for - may not be worth it. But it's definitely going to sit on my mind.
