rydra_wong: Lisa Rands' chalky hands on the sloper on the route Gaia (climbing -- hands)

The Friday post of glee is where you get to tell us about your climbing-related happiness this week.

It can be a new achievement or adventure, or just that you climbed and had fun; it can be that your favourite climbing wall is expanding or that you bought new rock shoes or that you found a cool ice-climbing vid on YouTube. No glee is too small -- or too big. Members are encouraged to cheer each other on and share the squee.

N.B. Please feel free to post your glee on any day of the week; the Friday glee is just to get the ball rolling.

To enhance this week's glee: nothing, sorry. If someone's got a video link they'd like to share, please post it in the comments! But I haven't been able to focus enough to look for something and I'm not going to pretend that everything's normal and fine this week.

(Not that things in the world will be normal and fine next week either. And I'm not criticizing or judging anyone who really really needs to think about something other than politics right now: we do what we need to do to survive, and the times of thinking about other things are what can keep us functioning and able to take political action. I'm going to be going to the climbing wall today myself to try to climb and think about something else for a while, and hopefully not end up crying in a corner.

But this morning, I got nothing for you.)
